Important Note about Web Browsing Software: Our web mail software, Outlook Web Access 2003, will work in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and most other modern web browsers. However, advanced features such as detailed folder listings, the navigation pane, the preview pane, and Outlook style right-click functionality are only operational in Internet Explorer 6.0+.
How do I check my email?
1. Check to ensure that you are connected to the internet
2. Navigate to https://mercury.hendrix.edu/exchange/. You can do this now by clicking on the link or by clicking on the image above.
3. A login box will appear...
If you are a student: In the Username field, enter 'STUDENTS\yourusername' -- pay attention to which slash you are using, and replace 'yourusername' with your actual username. For example, Sally Ann Jones would enter 'STUDENTS\jonessa'. If there is anything in the 'Domain' field, delete it.
If you are a member of the faculty: In the Username field, enter 'HENDRIX\yourusername' -- pay attention to which slash you are using, and replace 'yourusername' with your actual username. For example, Sally Ann Jones would enter 'HENDRIX\jonessa'. If there is anything in the 'Domain' field, delete it.
Enter your password in the 'Password' field and click OK. Your inbox will appear.
4. The interface is fairly intuitive. In the Inbox view, your folders are on the lefthand side. Other Outlook features and views are on the bottom left, and your current view is on the righthand side. To find out what a button does, hover your mouse over it. A tooltip will appear.
