Hendrix Experience Day Schedule

Note: This schedule is for campus visits during the academic year.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday Schedule

8:30 a.m. Arrive at historic Ellis Hall, home of the Admission Office, to check in and meet an admission counselor.  Students will be able to choose from a list of classes to attend while families can pick up their own personal schedule for the day
9:00 a.m. Students attend a class and get a glimpse of what your Hendrix education will look like during the next four years. Families, you will learn about Hendrix’s campus environment, academic programs, and life after Hendrix.
10:10 a.m. Take a campus walk and check out our academic facilities – families and students will head out on separate walks so you can ask those questions you really want to ask!
11:10 a.m. Hear about the Hendrix Odyssey: Engaging in Active Learning. Learn more about this unique program where students create their own Odyssey based on their academic and extracurricular interests.
11:30 p.m. Eat lunch in the award-winning dining hall. It is our treat, so have a seat, relax, and enjoy a bite with members of the Hendrix Community while you sample a dessert or two.
12:15 p.m. See the residential side of campus where you will live and play when you come to Hendrix. Starting with what we consider the "living room of campus" and ending with the residence halls. No "show" rooms here; you'll get to see the clean, the messy, the authentic Hendrix dorm rooms.
1:00 p.m.

Where to go from here?  Find out about the application process, financial aid timeline, and other important steps to making Hendrix your home.

1:30 p.m.

Finish the day with your admission counselor back in Ellis Hall.  Let us know if you want to take any optional walks and/or attend any additional meetings. Seniors, sit down and chat with a professor in an area of your interest.  Come prepared with questions since you will be leading this discussion.* Meanwhile, families can hang out in Ellis Hall to enjoy the swings on the front porch and have a little free time.

*Faculty conversations and auditions are reserved for high school seniors and must be requested in advance of visit.
