- New Student Orientation for the Class of 2028 will begin on August 20, 2024 with move-in day. Info will be sent via Hendrix email.
- Orientation sessions and activities will be held August 20 - August 22 on campus.
- The new student orientation trip will be Friday, August 23 - Sunday, August 25.

Check out the trips and activities we have scheduled for all new
incoming students!
The descriptions below are meant
to help you get a feel for each of the orientation trips/activities we
offer.
The Orientation Team will be offering a two night OR trip
option, a one night OR trip option or an on campus stay option for incoming
students. Regardless of your length of
stay, all campus Orientation groups will get to experience community building
experiences along with a Saturday filled with fun.
Two Night Orientation Trip
Travel: Students will depart campus Friday returning Sunday afternoon
via charter bus/15 passenger van transportation.
Lodging: Each participant will have their own
bed in shared rooms or a single bunk bed in cabin style bunk room
accommodations.
Meals: Some meals to be catered and some will be
prepared by the team; dietary needs will be accommodated.
Activity Intensity: All activities are catered to a
beginner level. Students will be encouraged
to move at their own comfort level.

On Campus Orientation
Trip
Travel: All Saturday activities will receive transportation via Charter Bus/15 passenger van.
Lodging: Each participant will remain in their
residence hall accommodation or have the opportunity to “camp” in the great INdoors!
Meals: Some meals to be catered and some will be prepared by the team;
dietary needs will be accommodated.
Activity Intensity: All activities are catered to a beginner level. Students will be encouraged to move at their
own comfort level.

Outdoor
Adventure – Let’s
get outdoors! Outdoor Adventure trips include outings such as
hiking one of the many state parks, zip lining around Hot Springs, rock climbing
the beautiful Ozarks, fishing on a crystal-clear lake, exploring caves,
horseback riding along a beautiful valley or just spending time exploring the
great outdoors!
Water
Adventure – Looking
to cool off this August? We have you covered with one of our Water
Adventure orientation trips! Spend some time on the river on one of our
trips to the Arkansas/Missouri Ozarks or spend the day on one of Arkansas’ many
lakes tubing and water skiing.
Urban
Adventure – Let’s
hit the town! Looking to explore and learn more about local
culture? Urban Adventure trips offer the opportunity to visit art
museums, take part in creative activities, see local attractions and what makes
our state unique!
Service
Adventure- Wanna
give back to the community? Looking to explore a new part of the state? Our
Service trips offer the opportunity to do both! Our service trips lend a hand
while helping you acclimate to the great state of Arkansas. Service Opportunities are offered both in
Central Arkansas (on campus experience option) and in Northwest Arkansas
