Hendrix Featured in The Princeton Review’s 2024 Best Colleges

Hendrix included among the South’s best colleges

Conway, Ark. (August 22, 2023) — Hendrix College appears in The Princeton Review’s 2024 Best Colleges: Region by Region, which highlights 630 colleges across seven zones (Northeast, South, Southwest, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, West, and International) that the publication considers “academically outstanding” and “well worth consideration” for prospective students in the college search process.

The College’s profile includes several observations from students about the College’s academics, the student body, and campus life:

  • “A progressive liberal arts school filled with Southern hospitality”
  • “Generous financial aid”
  • “Exceptionally rigorous”
  • “Unwaveringly genial and helpful” professors who “love what they do and are very good at it,” “make the subjects really interesting,” and are “passionate about their fields and very accessible in and out of the classroom.”
  • “One-third of all newly minted Hendrix grads proceed directly to graduate and professional school, which is evidence that all the hard work pays off.”
  • Students describe themselves as “hardworking,” “very ambitious,” “pretty free-spirited,” and “eclectic” “intellectual misfits” who tend to have “lots of interests and hidden abilities.”
  • “Everyone is wholeheartedly welcome.”
  • Social life here is extremely “campus-centric,” and Hendrix is “small enough to evoke a sense of familiarity without feeling boring.”
  • “Almost every weekend has been predesignated for some sort of ongoing annual event.”

Hendrix College is also rated among the “Best Colleges in America 2023” according to Money’s analysis of more than 700 four-year colleges, focusing on quality of education, affordability, and student outcomes.

Earlier this summer, Hendrix College was one of 300 four-year colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom featured in the Fiske Guide to Colleges 2024
