Who are We?
The Hendrix College Campus Sustainability Fund Committee (CSFC) is a student led and run organization on the Hendrix College campus charged with allocating funds to sustainable projects on campus and with coordinating environmental and sustainability issues among members of the Senior Leadership of the College. The CSFC receives much of its funding from a twenty dollar per student, per semester fee and can receive additional funding through donations and part of the demonstrated savings generated from past CSFC projects
The CSFC is an independent, student run entity
reporting ultimately to the Office of the President and the Board of Trustees.
The CSFC maintains an affiliation with the Faculty Senate and Student Senate by
retaining non-member, permanent select committee status on both Senates.
Our goal is to empower students and the Hendrix community to
invest in creating a more sustainable and environmentally responsible campus by
funding projects and capital expenditures that help reduce our environmental
impact.
Ways to Connect
Apply:
- Applications will open in 2021 to serve on the 2021-2022 CSFC. Click here to apply. Application due date TBD. Until then, plan on attending upcoming CSFC meetings!
- Nominate a member of the Hendrix community who is a leader in sustainability on or off campus for the Hendrix Sustainability Award. Click here to nominate. Application due date TBD.
Meetings:
- Occur at least two to three times per semester.
- All meetings are open to the entire Hendrix community to attend. Notes regarding the meetings will be kept and published to this website.
- Meetings for 2020-21:

- Contact CSFC@Hendrix.edu to communicate directly with the CSFC Chair and to submit project documents!
- If you are interested in submitting a suggestion for a potential project to the CSFC, please click here to use an online form. The CSFC will review suggestions and will contact you if we would like help on the project, especially if someone else submits a similar project idea.
- If you would like to propose a project to get funded on your own, you may apply for funding from the CSFC. This guarantees that the CSFC will review your project application and work with you in order to get the project funded and completed successfully.
