Course planning advice here is limited to majors. Possible Degree Path – starting in the first year The following is a typical major plan for the 12 courses in the major.  This is not the only way forward.  Please consult with your advisor to create your unique path.

First Year

Calculus I (MATH 130)

Sophomore
  • Principles of Accounting I (BUSI 200)
  • Microeconomic Theory (ECON 200)
  • Principles of Statistics (BUSI 250)
  • Principles of Accounting II (BUSI 210)
  • Macroeconomic Theory (ECON 210)

If not already completed:

  • Calculus I (MATH 130)
Junior

Adv. Microeconomic Theory (ECON 300, spring)

1-2 Economics major electives at the 300 – level or above

Senior Econometrics and Forecasting (ECON 400)

Adv. Macroeconomic Theory (ECON 310)

Senior Capstone

If necessary, complete remaining 300-level Economics major electives
