    Planning Recommendations:

    • Students must complete Ethnographic Methods (ANTH 300) and Anthropological Theory (ANTH 365) before the senior year. If students plan to study abroad their junior year, they must complete either or both Ethnographic Methods (ANTH 300) and Anthropological Theory (ANTH 365) during their sophomore year.
    • Majors must take Advance Research & Writing (ANTH 497) class during the fall semester of the senior year.

Capstone Comments: The senior thesis should build on a research paper already completed in a 300 level SOCI or ANTH course. Thus, it is important consider course research topics that might be suitable for a thesis before the senior practicum.
