Hendrix College is proud to recognize the contributions
of Dr. Teresa A. Garrett in the Conway community. She is currently serving on
the City of Conway’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Board (BPAB) for a
three-year term.
The Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Board is a seven-person
committee that strives to make biking and walking safe, convenient, and
accessible in Conway. Following guidelines from organizations like the League
of American Bicyclists, UNC Highway Safety Research Center, and the Safe Routes
to School Program, the BPAB advises best practices for establishing a
walk-friendly and bicycle-friendly community.
“I am so happy to have this opportunity to serve,” said Dr. Garrett, Hendrix College Provost. “It is so
exciting to become a part of connecting Hendrix with the greater Conway
community while promoting an active lifestyle for both recreation and
transportation."
