The president and vice presidents form the Senior Administration of the College.
Under the direction of the president, the Senior Administration manages the day-to-day
operations of Hendrix, working closely with the Hendrix Board of Trustees to establish
goals and priorities for the institution.
The Hendrix administration has grown over the years, following a common pattern
in higher education. In the early days, faculty handled administrative matters in
addition to their teaching duties. But, as higher education institutions grew more
complex and student expectations changed, additional staff was needed to provide
student services, to manage business affairs, to recruit new students and to raise
money to support the College.
