Call for Nominations: Hendrix Alumni Association Awards

Hendrix Alumni Association Board of Governors Seeks Nominees 

CONWAY, Ark. (October 29, 2024) – The Hendrix College Alumni Association’s Board of Governors invites nominations for the 2025 Alumni Association Awards:  

  • The Distinguished Alumni Award 

  • The Outstanding Young Alumni Award 

  • The James E. Major Service Award 

  • The Hendrix College Humanitarian Award 

Nominations are open to Hendrix College alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who wish to honor alumni making extraordinary contributions to their fields, communities, and the College. Nominations are due by December 1, 2024. Late submissions will be considered in the following year’s cycle and remain on file for five years. 

To submit a nomination, please include a brief biography of the nominee along with your contact information and send it to the Office of Alumni and Constituent Engagement at Hendrix College, 1600 Washington Avenue, Conway, AR 72032, or via email to the Alumni Office

The 2025 Alumni Awards Ceremony will be held during Alumni Weekend, April 4-6, 2025. 

Award Nomination Criteria 

Distinguished Alumni Award 
Presented to living alumni who have achieved distinction in their professions, made substantial contributions to humanity, and provided exceptional service to Hendrix College. 
Previous recipients 

Outstanding Young Alumni Award 
Honors Hendrix graduates within 15 years of graduation (Classes 2009-2024) who demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in their careers or community service, along with ongoing loyalty, advocacy, and support for Hendrix College.  
Previous recipients 

James E. Major Service Award 
Established in 1981 to honor Dr. James E. Major, Class of 1940, this award recognizes meritorious service to Hendrix College. 
Previous recipients 

Hendrix College Humanitarian Award 
Given to alumni who have made a significant impact on global quality of life through their dedication to service and humanity.
