CONWAY, Arkansas (November 4, 2022)—The
Hendrix Players and the Hendrix College Department of Theatre Arts and Dance will
hold the opening night performance of Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are In A
Play!” on Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. in Cabe Theatre on the Hendrix
College campus.
Three additional performances follow:
Friday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Admission is free, but reservations are required and can be made through Eventbrite.
The play is an hour-long,
fast-paced musical journey based on the beloved children’s books by Mo Willems.
“I
was drawn to this musical because of its focus on the beauty of friendship,”
said the production’s director and choreographer, Associate Professor Antonio Horne.
“Friendships are such a vital part of our human experience, so I wanted to
celebrate that. The show is sweet and joyous—it’s perfectly suited for folks
from 4 to 104!”
