Professor of French taught at Hendrix from 1979 to 2012
CONWAY, Arkansas
(May 20, 2024) — The Hendrix community is saddened by the passing of Dr.
Marylou Martin, retired professor of French, who died May 2, 2024.
A graduate of the
University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Martin earned a Ph.D. in French from the
University of Texas, Austin, in 1979 and that same year arrived to join the
faculty of Hendrix College. She continued teaching at Hendrix until her
retirement in 2012.
