The
Hendrix College campus offers a beautiful setting for photography and
videography. The College welcomes
photography and filming on campus and offers the following guidelines for visiting
photographers and videographers. Please note that this information does not apply to photography and filming conducted by current Hendrix personnel, offices, departments, or students.
In
general, photography and filming will be allowed if:
- production does not cause a disruption which would interfere with the academic pursuits of the College and its students, faculty, or staff
- the produced work does not portray the College in a negative light
- all crew and personnel
adhere to all rules and regulations of the College while on campus
The following types of campus use are considered for visiting photographers and videographers:
Personal Use
Individuals or those with personal photographers/videographers are always welcome to use campus to take family photos for engagements, weddings, graduations, prom, etc. No prior notice is required unless the production may impact the College's operations or the production requires exclusive use of a campus location. Please note that exclusive use cannot be guaranteed for any campus spaces unless a request is submitted and approved ahead of the visit.
Educational/Community Use
For photographers and filmmakers who are working on projects that are educational in purpose (students, non-profits, documentaries), you are welcome to use campus, but we ask that you submit a written request before arriving so that we can help coordinate your visit. In most cases, no fees will apply to production unless it impacts College operations or requires exclusive use of a campus location. You may be asked to sign a Hendrix Location Release Agreement prior to production.
Professional Use
For professional photographers/videographers, you must submit a written request and obtain approval before visiting campus. If your production is for commercial, advertising, or marketing purposes, then please contact us about your visit. The following requirements may apply to your production:
- Location Fees
- Hendrix Location Release Agreement
- Proof of Comprehensive General Liability Insurance
General Guidelines:

facilities, and any other service-related areas of campus.
- Academic
spaces such as classrooms and laboratories require special approval for use.
Use must be reserved through the College’s Master Calendar and approved by the appropriate Building Coordinator.
- All
