CONWAY, Ark. (October 11, 2024) — THISNESS, a band that features Hendrix College Professor of Philosophy Dr. Jamie Dow, will return to Morrilton’s Point Remove Brewing Company on October 25, 2024, from 7 to 10 p.m. for its annual show.

The band will perform two hours of music selected from their 2022 album Threshold, their 2023 EP Underneath, new songs from our forthcoming album, and some haunting covers, in keeping with the season. There will be a costume contest with prizes during a break between the hour-long sets.

THISNESS is an independent band from central Arkansas whose music “sits at the intersection of shoegaze, psychedelic rock, post-punk/post-rock,” according to Dow, who contributes vocals and guitar to the band’s sound. The remaining lineup includes Jesse Butler on guitar, Michael Norton on bass, and Adrian James on drums. THISNESS has played live at Stickyz, Vino’s, Whitewater Tavern, Four Quarter Bar, and Full Moon Records.

Dow says the music of THISNESS tends to appeal to fans of Deerhunter, The Black Angels, Slint, Protomartyr, The Cure, Radiohead, Nothing, and Slow Crush.
